A competitions bar!
For those scratchers who are bored and want to enter competitions…. I know I do!
Ok, ok… I know what the comments are gonna be like……
NO SUPPORT! They will enter and be sad if they loseeee!!!
Well it's not their fault if they lose, and if you enter a comp you need to be ready for those things….
It's LIFE!!!
It's full of disappointments, OK?!
Or maybe add something LIKE this in your projects to show if it's a comp!

set [Competition] to [True]

We all know there are tons of comps on scratch but REALLY hard to find…
AND I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GONNA SAY….
Just go on most remix!!!!!
WELL… I DID!!
It's just way too hard cause there are other projects BESIDES comps which are most remixed!!
Don't believe me? Go and check!!
Sorry if this made you upset, this had no intention for that, but I REALLY would love if scratch would have something to show competitions!!

No support. Bullying might result from those who win or the non-winners might be disappointed and quit.

Plus, people will base their self-worth over how well they do in the competition, which is not the point of Scratch.

There are already competitions..! This is a suggestion to find them better.

What's the point? What would you win?
I don't support as this'll cause more issues and conflict between other users.

No support, this only causes drama in Scratch over winning or losing. Also, Scratch is a learning tool, not a game tool.

I think it would obviously have to be regulated, and this idea could use more detailed, but it's a good start of an idea.

Semisupport.

Of course, there will be drama, but still, this can help kids to build Programming Skills.

Or how about this-

The Scratch Team could hold monthly programming competitions, where you can create and submit your programs. Then the ST will pick the best one and feature it as the Scratch Programmer of the week.

And all of the good submitted projects Could be but in a different front paged row saying “Good Job Competitors!”

Also, this is similar to the situation in this quote:

10. Game badges/achievements
(Thanks Faillord!)
This would harm Scratch's purpose, and people would determine their social worth on the site based on achievements in games, and some users would act as if they are more important than others merely because they have more game badges.

Why don't you just click the Explore button and then type “contest” in the tag section? (Or “cc” because most contests on Scratch are coloring contests anyway).

Or you can find studios that contain contests like
https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/studios/212459/
https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/studios/409854/

(If you're looking for stuff like the Color Wars, though, I have no idea - I guess you could search them. )

Yep, the stickies basically don't allow that. Competitions already happen anyway, so why is this needed?

I don't support as this'll cause more issues and conflict between other users.

The people who run the competitions always give stuff like…….
Follows, likes, favs, art requests and even sometimes remixes
Which are good ideas!
But people never find them

Scratch isn't about fame.
Also, giving users rewards like that would just cause riots from other users complaining that the system is unfair.
